Hi, up for auction is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity 2 60's Surf Strat Custom Bridge pickup, with the aged white cover. I never actually got around to installing it in my early 80's Squier Bullet, since I ended up turning it into a Tele since I already have a JazzMaster which I prefer to Strats. If I ever do get a Strat it will have these pickups in it, since they are hands down the nicest sounding Strat pickups I've ever heard, better to my ear than the Texas 50's. These are surf and Chicago blues all the way. I'm also selling the RW/RP Middle pickup too so check it out if you're looking to upgrade.

FREE SHIPPINGThis for sale is a WORKING Gibson 490R pickup taken from the neck of a 97 Gibson SG Special. It could use a good cleaning. The weird look on the front is actually paint runs from having black paint sprayed across a guitar in the past. The wire is still the original long length and should be well long enough to use in the neck of any guitar I can imagine. If there are any questions just let me know. I like to be a fair and honest seller/buyer which is why I've kept positive feedback and I'd like to keep it that way. Thanks for looking.

FRED humbuckers take the PAF Pro up a notch with more gain, mid EQ and overtones. It's a sound with more crank and growl. FRED's wide, fat tone fills up a lot of space in the mix : a great pickup with combined lead / rhythm styles and power trio gigs.
FRED is really sensitive to changes in pick attack. Digging in hard pushes the tone from crunch to overdrive without running back to the rig to change the gain settings. Rolling back the volume knob on the guitar warms up the sound without losing snarl and bite.
With the tone control backed off, the round, vintage sweet tone steps out, recreating the tubular singing tone of the 60's. For straight-into-the-amp burning, FRED lets you make all the changes happen right from the guitar. A short time spent exploring pick attack and the guitar's volume and tone controls reveals the wide variety of tones available from FRED with just a little work.
Recommended for the neck and bridge positions in all solidbody, hollow and semi-hollowbody guitars.
The FRED started out as a prototype designed to add a little midrange to the PAF Pro. When we sent one of the the first ones to Joe Satriani, he discovered and exploited a unique tonal characteristic - the FRED's ability to emphasize upper midrange and treble harmonics through an overdriven and distorted amp. Many standard humbuckers have a tendency to fatten up with distortion.
The FRED does the opposite; it gets tighter and brighter, much like a single-coil. Joe uses the FRED strictly as a bridge pickup, but it's also a distinctive neck pickup - works really well with a Norton, Tone Zone or Evolution bridge model.

This pickup is for players that need an accurate, clear tone for fast runs. The brighter sound has slightly less output but still matches well with other pickups. The neck pickup is designed so that its volume is balanced with the bridge model and its tone has just the right amount of bass.Four conductor cable allows you to split the coils electically: in phase or out of phase, series or parallel, with or without humbucking effect. This pickup is a direct replacement and requires no guitar modification. Wiring schematic and mounting screws are included.
application Classic moderate output humbucker. Especially popular in neck position. Don't let the name fool you; it's not only great for jazz, but also country, blues, funk, classic rock and heavy rock.
description Provides an articulate and clear tone. Great for fast runs. The brighter tone has slightly less output and is a good match with most bridge pickups. 36 Slug Pieces per set 1010 alloy, These slugs are not plated. The are a darker color. Some thing tone is different without the Nickel. September 5th, 2010 — Single Coil Pickups
Pickup for fender strat or any guitar using single coil configeration. This is a double coil and is 13.3 Ohms. If you want to split the coils they are; 6.6 & 6.7 ohms. If you wanted to use it in the series wired configeration the way it is now, it would give you a warm strong kick. Splitting the coils would make it bright. If you put it in the bridge position with a series parallel switch you would have the standard strat look with the benefit of a humbucking. Lots of possibilities. The digital camera makes it look a little grungy but it is in great condition. This is what a lot of manufactures refer to as rail pickups.
