For auction is an original 1972 Fender Mustang project guitar. First off, the pickups do not work, and there are no pots in the control plate. The tone capacitor, pot wires, input jack were saved and will be included. The body appears to have been refinished to natural, as there are traces of reddish paint under the pickguard and bridge plate indicating it was probably a sunburst. Up for auction is a mid-60′s Fender Mustang guitar body. Specifically, should be a late ’65. Red refinish, very old refinish. Unmodded routes. The refinish is ok, nothing special. Up for auction is a mid-60′s Fender Mustang guitar body. Specifically early ’66. It has been refinished a sort of Dakota Red. It is rather well done, I’ve seen worse refinishes. Mid-level and probably pretty old. There are various nicks and dings all over the body corroborating this. Other than that, no structural issues and no route mods. Overall, a great vintage part for your project!
