for auction is a 1964 Fender Mustang guitar body.  It is refinished red.  It is a sort of metallic red - I'm not sure if it is transparent or just a bit sloppy.  It looks like it is transparent.  Original shields included.  No structural issues.  Cosmetically, obviously the wear to the finish is apparent.

Fender Mustang Bass Body REFINISHED with Modern Split Coil Pickup

not exactly sure of the production year, the person I had bought from
stated it was a ’69,  there are details
consistent with this body being fairly old.

the metal shielding still intact in the control cavity area and
it has been removed from the pickup rout during the modification; typical
modern P-Bass split coil pickups will fit in this bass body

the current paint/finish is a poor job, the paint was perhaps
not allowed to cure properly before the body was refitted with the hardware and
it looks as the paint has squished out from under the bridge plate, control
plate and the pickguard. on the back the paint is totally wrinkled, it is
intact to the body but there is texture on the surface of the paint (visible in
at least one of the close-up detail pics)

this body weighs 4lb 8.5oz as pictured and the pickguard adds about another 4 ounces.the pickguard is included, however the mounting screws for the pickguard are not included.
